PITTSBURG -- Health experts at Pittsburg State University say Americans gain around five pounds on average during the holiday season. That's why they instituted a program that will reward those on campus who stay healthy during the holidays. Health and wellness faculty spent the last few days before Thanksgiving giving out healthy tips to help keep off the extra pounds. Students and staff who are able to make it through the season within two pounds of their pre-holidays weight will be eligible for prizes from Pittsburg State.
