JOPLIN -- Spiva Center For the Arts hosted a watercolor class Saturday. For a $160 entry fee, the artists learned how to take their blues, reds and yellows and transform them into the next Mona Lisa. Class instructor Jim Bray says he's thankful for places like Spiva who support the fine arts.

"Without that support from the outside, the arts would be struggling."
