NEOSHO -- A 40-foot tall Norway spruce has been the city's official Christmas tree for a number of years. Workers with the Neosho Tree Service estimate it stood in Big Spring Park for almost 30 years. Unfortunately, last year's drought took a toll on the evergreen, so officials had to cut it down. Now all that is left is a stump where the tree used to be. City representatives say they'll have to think of something else for Christmas this year.
I once knew of a city that got a Giant Everest Christmas tree from Christmas Lights Etc. It was about 40' I think and it was gorgeous.
