NEOSHO -- This is the second year the Princess Project has helped provide prom necessities to teenage girls in Newton county whose families might be in a tough financial situation. Te group of women volunteers have been collecting gowns all year and have more than 350 dresses to choose from. Saturday they hosted a fitting for high school girls to browse the selection. The volunteers say events like this help make the dream a reality for high school girls.

"We've already had four or five girls that said they wouldn't have even gone to prom without getting the dress because it was so unaffordable," says Princess Project coordinator Debie Smith.

If you are interested in picking out a dress from the Princess Project, there will be other gown showings on March 9, 23 and 30 10AM-2PM at Smith Family Powersports in Neosho.
