Stoops Staying with the Sooners

To college football, where Bobby Stoops proved he is the exception among his coaching colleagues who continually jump from program to program in an effort to earn bigger paychecks. Today, the Oklahoma headman announced he would stay with the Sooners, putting to rest the rumors that stoops would take over the reigns at Florida. Stoops took over in Norman three years ago, and immediately returned the Sooners to national prominence, winning a national title in 2000. This afternoon, he talked about why he turned down Florida.
