MIAA Conference Team

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
At first glance, it is another nice showing for Southern and Pitt State players on the all MIAA conference team. But take a closer look and you will see that five of the six athletes who are honored are seniors, which means you will hear the word rebuilding a lot from these two programs next year. Southern point guard Eddin Santiago is on the first team for the third year in a row, and he was a unanimous choice following this season. Pitt State junior Cedric Brooks is also on board the 1st team bus. The highflying Brooks was playing his best basketball during the conference season and will be a force next year. Southern`s Terry Shumpert is the lone 2nd team selection from the local schools as he wraps up an impressive career. Three Gorillas also walk away with all MIAA honors. Seniors Jai Pradia, Max Ruark and Dan Stanley earn honorable mention awards.
