HS Playoffs Begin

In Missouri, Carl Junction is the host site for the Class 3 District 12 Tournament. First round action included the top seed Webb City shutting out East Newton 15-0. The Cardinals will face Carthage on Tuesday after the Tigers defeated Nevada 3-1. Other first round scores included Carl Junction 5-2 winners over Mt. Vernon and McDonald County upsetting the second seed Seneca 3-1.
In Kansas, it was Frontenac winning their first round Class 3A regional game over Galena 4-3. And in Class 4A, Labette County defeated Pittsburg High 6-5. Labette will face Independence in the finals on Wednesday.
