The Carl Junction baseball season came to and end Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs fell to Clinton 4-3 in 8 innings in the Class 3 Quarterfinals. Carl Junction fell behind 3-0 early in the contest but battled back to tie the game in the top of the 7th inning. However the Bulldogs left two men stranded on second and third and were unable to gain the lead. Then in the bottom of the eighth inning, Clinton loaded the bases with nobody out. The Cardinals Brady Summers grounded to C.J. shortstop Evan Clemons who overthrew the relay to the plate and Clinton scored the winning run. Carl Junction finishes the season with and 18-10 record.
