KANSAS--- A judge sentenced Michael Williams to life in prison for the December 2010 death of Sean Putnam. Sean Putnam was a former Cherokee County Deputy and Galena Police Officer. His body was found in a Wichita backyard in January 2011. Authorities say Williams shot Putnam in the forehead, kept his body in a back room for 2 days, and then burned it in someone else's backyard. Deborah Weiss, who lived with the 2 men, will spend just under 5 years behind bars for the crime. Williams will be eligible for parole in 25 years.
