MCDONALD COUNTY, MO.--- Events kicked off today and will last through Saturday at the McDonald County High School. Fair officials are estimating more than 5,000 people will attend the festivities in those three days. There will be food, music, and games for kids with livestock shows. Organizers say the fair has become a tradition for may area residents.

"We have a lot of people that will be at the fair every year and have been for the last 30 years that I'v been out here," states Dewey Pierce, Fair Board Chairman.

The fair will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m each day.
