HS District Volleyball Begins and Gridiron Great Week 8 - Joplin's Chris Payton-Barba

At Carthage high school it was Carthage defeating Neosho while Joplin defeated Webb City in first round of Class 4 District 12 volleyball play. In Clinton, Carl Junction and Pleasant Hill both won, setting up a Class 3 District 12 championship match that features two teams in the top five in the state.

Plus, Joplin running back Chris Payton-Barba is our Gridiron Great after rushing for 176 yards and a touchdown in Friday night's win.
