Pitt State, Missouri Southern Split in First Basketball Meeting of the Season

Marquis Addison scored a career-high 34 points, 23 of them in the first half, as Missouri Southern knocked off Pitt State in the men's game. Stephen Atkinson also scored a career-high 21 for the Lions. The Gorillas were led by 21 points and 12 rebounds from Rico Pierrevilus.

In the women's contest, Pitt jumped out by 15 points in the first 10 and a half minutes, before Southern came back to tie it early in the second half. But the Gorillas held on late for their 5th straight win in the series behind 24 points from a sick Lizzy Jeronimus. The Lions were led by 14 points from senior Erin Rice.
