NEOSHO -- Almost 5,000 students are signed up for classes at Crowder College this spring semester, up 5.3% compared to this time last year. The number of credit hours being taken also went up 3.9%. Crowder is no offering classes at nine different locations across southwest Missouri. Administrators believe convenience is what makes Crowder so appealing to students.

"Geographic location makes a big difference," says Crowder public information director Cindy Brown. "We have some students that may be attending two or three different sites, which is good for the students, maybe works in with their work schedule or their family schedule. So, that's a great thing."

Crowder College administrators just broke ground on a new campus in McDonald county.
