JOPLIN, MO.--- The Missouri Southern State University Career Services will host a lunch series which includes resume and cover letter preparation, mock interviews, and advice from area professionals.

Students are also learning networking tips, how to establish a personal brand, and follow-up advice. Employees say it's a great way for students to become connected within the community.

"The nice thing is, we have a lot of area professionals that really want to mentor our students and show them what they're looking for. That they're not out to get them, that they want them to be prepared and be successful in the job market," said Nicole Brown, Director of Career Services.

Career services is also offering walk-in resume workshops. The career fair next Thursday, March 7th in the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center.
