Notre Dame Coach Fired

When talking about college football, there are few programs with a more storied history than Notre Dame. But this season, instead of competing for a national championship, the Irish are serving as the punch line for jokes. That substandard showing has led to alumni and boosters calling for head coach Bob Davie`s job all year. But as of Friday, Bob was in denial when confronted with rumors that claimed his days in South Bend were numbered. Davie and his staff have been issued their walking papers. Davie`s 35-25 career record with the Golden Domers is the 3rd worst in school history. Early speculation is that Notre Dame will try and pry John Gruden away from the Raiders to coach the Irish next year.
