breaking news
It hasn`t taken long for Quinn Snyder to get the Missouri basketball program back amongst the nation`s elite. The Tigers are off to a 7-0 start and have climbed to a number three ranking in this weeks coaches poll. The Tigers have been clicking so well, in fact, that they`ve put up 100 points in their last two outings. They traveled to the Savviss Center tonight for a match up with Saint Louis, and the Billikens played them tough. Josh Fisher with the steal just before the half, takes it all the way to tie the score at intermission. Missouri, tried to pull away when Clarence Gilbert hits a tough jumper to give the Tigers a six point advantage, but St. Louis kept hanging around. In the closing seconds, the Billikens were down by three when Markee Perry hits the 23 foot three to tie the score. Last chance for Missouri. They inbound the ball to Wesley Stokes. Stokes couldn`t find Gilbert and couldn`t find Kareem Rush, so he takes it himself, and buries it for the win. Missouri, playing like it`s March, escape St. Louis with a 69-67 win and remain undefeated. Rush and Gilbert each dropped in 18 for the Tigers.
