New Arena Becoming Reality

In order to build a new college basketball arena, there must first be truckloads of cash available. Thanks to St. Louis Blues owner Bill Laurie, money was not a problem for the folks at Mizzou. Laurie`s generous gift of $25 million dollars will help put an end to the days of sitting on concrete benches at the Hearnes Center. Construction of the new, state of the art facility in Columbia will begin this afternoon. Laurie is justifiably showered with gifts as he talks with alumni and boosters about the new arena.
