THE CARDINALS WON THE SCHOOLS FIRST EVER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN BASEBALL LAST SEASON AND ALMOST EXACTLY ONE YEAR LATER WEBB WAS IN THE TITLE GAME ONCE AGAIN LOOKING TO MAKE IT BACK TO BACK STATE TITLES. THE CARDINALS JUMPED OUT TO AN EARLY LEAD AGAINST LEE`S SUMMIT WEST. SCORING 2 RUNS IN THE 3RD. THEY EXTENDED THE LEAD BY SCORING A PAIR OF RUNS IN THE 5TH AND 6TH INNING TO TAKE A 6-2 LEAD INTO THE 7TH AND AFTER A LAST DITCH RALLY BE LEE`S SUMMIT FELL SHORT THE CARDINALS CLAIMED ANOTHER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, 6-5.
