watch video
JOPLIN, MO.--- The "Miracle Market" opened this afternoon in the basement conference room at Freeman West Hospital. More than 25 vendors set up booths selling everything from jewelry to jeans, a percentage of the proceeds from all items sold will go to the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. They help assist needy families whose child is receiving extensive medical care. The Miracle Market has been hosted by Freeman Hospital for more than 10 years. The organization typically raises between 8 to $10,000 each year.

"This truly is about miracles, it may be that we give $10 to a family for gas or lodging at a Ronald Mcdonald house and the great thing about that is, their expenses are so high that $10 is a miracle," state Lysa Buehler, Shelter Manager.

Tomorrow is the final day for the Miracle Market. It will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
