JOPLIN -- Joplin Calypso Scuba held its annual "Underwater Poker Games and Chili Cook Off" Saturday. For a $5 entry fee, participants enjoyed a dive, a unique game of poker and were entered into a drawing to win prizes. Organizers say this is a great way to warm up in the pool and give Lady Luck a chance.
"There's nothing like going out in a 88 degree pool and getting in the water and playing and having chili with your friends," says Calypso manager Valerie Earl. "Every event is a good time."
The winner of the chili cook off received a $50 gift certificate.
