MODOT Request Public Feedback

watch video
JOPLIN, MO.--- MODOT seeks input from the public and local community leaders about upcoming projects. Business owners, school administrators, governmental officials and more attended a listening session at the Joplin School Administration Building.

MODOT's goal was to determine priorities for the future of Missouri's road ways. Transportation experts asked for feedback on ideas they're currently developing, and asked locals how MODOT can improve the area's roads.

"We always, as an engineering group, think we know and understand the priorities, but sometimes that differs a little from the public input. So, we want to make sure we combine all of those into the best set of transportation projects and plans we can come up with," says Becky Baltz, Southwest District Engineer.

The meeting was 1 of 16 MODOT listening sessions taking place over the next several months in Missouri.
