Nevada Thanksgiving Dinner Preparations
NEVADA, MO. --- Staff were mashing about 100 potatoes to serve at tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner.
The superintendent wanted to serve a meal to students' families, because more than half of the students are on a free and reduced lunch program.
He says with the help of the community they now they have enough food to serve 400 families.
"This is a great tradition to start. I'm excited this is the first year, and I'm excited to see what happens with it every year," Dr. David Stephens, Nevada Superintendent, says.
The meal will be served tomorrow at Nevada High School from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
