GALENA, KS.--- The 2nd annual Cystic Fibrosis Beard "Cuttin" Fundraiser will be held on Saturday. Last year, they raised more than 1,600.

Organizer Lodema Martin is raising money for foundation while also helping her granddaughter who has cystic fibrosis. She says researchers are close to a cure.

"It's very close. It's only like, maybe, 2 to 3 years away. Every penny counts and that's what we're doing it for," states Lodema Martin, Organizer.

The Beard "Cuttin" Fundraiser will be held on Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Galena. It's located at 7th and Joplin Street. It will start at 3 p.m.

There will be live music, food provided by Instant Karma, and also a silent auction. It's a free event but donations are encouraged to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
