Upward Bound Basketball

CARL JUNCTION -- The Carl Junction Upward Bound Basketball league is up and running. The winter program is run by volunteers and local churches, with an emphasis on sportsmanship rather than winning. Organizers say upward bound is a great way to help kids grow up with a strong foundation in the community.

"We start ingraining in them at an early age how to be physically fit and still have fun but also how to learn good character values," says Upward Bound director Rittney Greer.
