Rebuild Joplin Volunteers Welcomes Home Family
JOPLIN, MO.--- Bill and Luann Lett's official house warming was hosted by "Rebuild Joplin." The Lett's adopted their three grandchildren in 2010 and had lived in their home off Day Road for 29 years before the tornado struck.
Their new home was built at the same location and took around 6 months to build. Members of the Lett's church community supervised and organized hundreds of volunteers on the construction.
"Hundreds! I mean, from the tornado on, there was people. I mean, I've never seen so many people come in here and clean up this place. It's amazing," says Bill Lett.
"Rebuild Joplin" volunteers have built more than 60 homes in the area.
