Arrest Made in Fort Scott Stabbing

A Four State man suspected of stabbing two southeast Kansas women is in custody. The incident happened just after midnight Tuesday in Fort Scott, Kansas. Officials say 48-year-old William Adams stabbed Deborah Clements and Ruby Cline with a knife. The incident happened at 408 South Margrave in Fort Scott. When officers arrived on the scene Adams had already fled. Cline was treated and released at a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, Clements underwent surgery and is listed in fair condition. The Fort Scott Police Department says Adams turned himself in just before 9:30pm Wednesday night. He could be facing charges of aggravated battery.
