Meth Lab the Likely Case in Warehouse Fire

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Joplin Police are looking for two men seen near a Joplin warehouse that went up in flames. Joplin Police say a meth lab most likely started the fire, but they want to speak with two men they now call suspects. Witnesses say two men were seen leaving the building just before the fire started. Joplin officers say the men may even have burns from the blaze. The abandoned building has been the site of multiple meth busts in the last few years but people just keep coming back. The fire took hours to completely extinguish and put the lives of neighbors and fire fighters at risk. Nearby neighbors say fire crews and Red Cross officials went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their safety.
