Weekend Death Remains Suspicious

A suspicious death over the weekend leaves officials searching for clues. The Joplin Police Department responded to a call early Sunday morning at the intersection of Hill and Michigan Streets in northeast Joplin. Officials arrived at the scene to find a man in the road who had been hit by a car. The victim has been identified as 35-year old Wesley Love of Joplin. Love was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. Investigators say there is still some confusion surrounding the incident. The cause of Love`s death is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the case should contact the Joplin Police Department.
