A Crawford County construction worker was killed while on the job today. 42-year old William Ray Edwards of Frontenac was an employee for the Crossland Construction Company. Officials say he was installing a pipe for a storm drainage system. Edwards was killed Monday while helping cut the pipe in half at a construction site near Centinal Street. The pipe slipped and rolled on top of Edwards, killing him instantly. OSHA has been contacted and they may begin an investigation into the cause of the accident. Police arrived at 9:15 but the man was already dead on the scene.
