Traffic Accident in Joplin

A traffic accident causes delays Tuesday morning in Joplin. The accident occurred around 8:00am at the intersection of 34th and Main. That`s when a Mitubishi Galant traveling on Main Street was struck by a Chevy Blazer. The Blazer, driven by 16-year old Ashley Depriest was flipped onto its roof. Joplin police officer, John Jensen says both drivers were at fault for the accident. The driver of the car, 18-year-old Travis Vene, has been treated for a broken wrist. Depriest suffered only minor injuries.
