Investigation Continues in Weekend Death

The investigation continues into the death of a Joplin man this weekend. Joplin Police found the body of 37-year old Wesley Love early Sunday morning near the intersection of Hill and Michigan. Love had been hit by a car, but police had not been sure why Love was in the road to begin with. Investigators are now theorizing that Love had been drinking prior to being hit. An autopsy on the body was performed Monday in Springfield. Officials say additional lab work could help shed more light on the case, but may take a few weeks to complete. They say the driver who hit love will not be ticketed.
