One local stadium is receiving a long-awaited face lift. Nearly one millions dollars will be spent to renovate Junge stadium in Joplin. It will be the biggest makeover in the stadium`s 68-year history. The stadium`s track, bleachers and surrounding grounds will all be renovated. Officials say the primary goal is to convert the existing track into an up-to-date 400 meter oval with 8 lanes. Formal approval of the project is expected at Monday night`s city council meeting.
