A fatal accident claimed five lives this past weekend. The accident happened around 2:30 Sunday afternoon when four vehicles collided at an intersection off highway-54 in Vernon County. The accident killed five people. Kelly Otter was driving when she saw the accident. She is a nurses assistant and thought she would be able to help. But, when she reached the vehicle.. It was too late for the five passengers. Kelly Otter says, "that was the first thing I noticed when I went up to the car. None of them were wearing seat belts, the man in the back seat, the woman that got thrown out of the window. Nobody was wearing a seat belt." The five people who were killed in the crash have been identified as 21-year old Julie Newcome of Blue Mound, Kansas, 26-year old Russell Clay of Lowry city Missouri, 19-year old timothy bybee, 5-year old austin lukenbill, and 7-month old Dalton Newcome-Bybee all of Nevada.
