By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Missouri Governor Holden announced $114 million more in state budget cuts. The latest belt-tightening affects everything from prisons to the governor`s own budget office. And the move means hundreds of vacant positions will remain unfilled. In addition, state workers will skip things such as new computers, job training and travel to some conferences. But no state employees will be laid off. These latest cuts follow previous cuts of more than $28-million.
