Updated: January 7, 2009
The teenage daughter of the Carterville couple called police when the two wouldn`t open their bedroom door. Officers found the bodies of 48 year old Romulo Armando-Chavez and 43 year old Maria Garcia in a bedroom. Officials say it appears Armando Chavez shot Garcia in the head and then shot himself with a .38 caliber handgun. Officers say there is no indication of a forced entry to the home. The police chef believes the incident happened earlier in the day on Thursday, April 25.
