U.S. Senate candidate Jim Talent makes a stop in Joplin Friday. Talent visited the Eagle Picher technologies plant examining the production of their smart bombs. On the state-wide tour, Talent is outlining the importance of an appropriately funded and prepared military. He has pledged his support behind President Bush`s defense budget, which will cost over 100 billion dollars if passed. Talent served eight years on the armed services committee and led a task force to address the readiness issues facing the military.
