A recent report shows that Empire District Electric is a safe place to work. The employees have reached their ongoing safety goal of working 500,000 man hours without a lost time injury.
Empire employees average about 3,600 hours per day on a seven day basis. The last lost time injury occurred on November 26th, 2001. The Empire District electric company provides electric service to approximately 145,000 customers in Southwest Missouri.
