The Governor of Oklahoma says he`s suing the federal government. Governor Frank Keating says he wants to sue over the pollution at Tar Creek. So far, Keating says, the Federal Government has been a-wall in the efforts to clean up the 40 square mile area in Northeast Oklahoma. Keating says he hopes to find a permanent solution to the pollution that was caused by years of lead mining.""...limited to no legislative interest at the federal level, the only way we`re going to get attention to this problem, because it must be attended to, eventually it will be, but the only way is by suing Uncle Sam and...??" Keating announced his decision to sue the government at the 4th annual National Conference on Tar Creek.
