Local Reaction to Police Beating

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Four-state residents react to the shocking video of the brutal police beating. Officers in the four-states say they are saddened by what the video shows. They say the incident gives all officers a bad name. Cadets enrolled in the criminal justice program at Missouri Southern State College are trained to avoid similar situations. Cadets receive over one-hundred hours of training on how to properly restrain suspects and control their own anger and adrenaline. "We try to get our guys in the frame of mind to think they are always being videotapes. And to always do something like everybody is going to see the outcome,"said Lt. Jeffrey Trotnic from the Joplin Police Department. Reported By:Brad Douglas
