More I-44 Fatalities

Two people are dead following a crash on interstate 44 near Carthage. An elderly Sprinfield couple were killed this morning when their car was broadsided by an 18 wheeler. The highway patrol says the driver of a car was trying to pass another and clipped its bumper. The first driver lost control, skidded across the median before being hit by the semi unit. The victims have been 80-year-old Kenneth Gillies and 71-year-old Olla-belle Perryman. Reported By : Brad Douglas & Jim Jackson
