Updated: January 7, 2009
A four state airport feels the financial hit of Septmeber 11th. The Pittsburg airport has been forced to raise hanger fees and fuel prices. Hanger fees will go up 20 percent and fuel will cost an additional 5 cents a gallon. These price hikes will help make up a 30 thousand dollar budget gap brought about by the September 11th attacks. The increases are expected to generate 19 thousand dollars a year. The city commission also requires all fuel purchases to be made by credit card because payment is received faster than the standard billing method. Reported By: Julia Grayson
