Animal Abuse Charges Re-Filed

A McDonald County man who was allegedly involved in the abuse of a calf is facing charges once again. William Ziemianin, 27, of rural Pineville, was one of several men charged in the abuse of a calf several weeks ago. Officials say the men beat the calf over Memorial Day weekend in McDonald County. Prosecutors originally dismissed the charges against Ziemianin because several people had testified that he didn`t participate. However, officials say Ziemianin didn`t show up for additional questioning last week. In addition, prosecutors say he lied during the initial investigation. He is now charged with felony counts of stealing, animal abuse, and hindering prosecution. Reported By: Tiffany Alaniz
