Teenage Mom Will Go to Trial for Murder

A Bourbon County teenage mom is bound over for arraignment. 18-year old Cythia Cowen waived her preliminary hearing today in court. The teenager is accussed of trying to kill her infant child. Cowen of Fort Scott, Kansas faces a charge of second degree attempted murder for allegedly trying to drown two month old Skylar Cowen. The incident took place in early June. An investigator says Cowen tried to drown the child in a wading pool at her house in Fort Scott. A date has not been set for her arraignment. Reported By: Tiffany Alaniz
