A public service was also held at the Joplin Salvation Army. Captain Gary Laws conducted the memorial service at the Salvation Memorial Chapel. A special guest was Colonel Gordon Spicer of St.Louis who spoke at the ceremony. Captain Laws also described his days when he visited ground zero and how it has forever changed him. "It`s just was an experience that I will never forget. It`s changed my life made me more determined to be of service to people and even in new ways as I`m able to discover them,"said Captain Gary Laws of the Salvation Army. Captain Laws is asking that sometime during the day, you take a moment of silence to remember those lost a year ago today. Reported By: Brad Douglas
