Godwin Court Date Set

A date for jury selection has been set for a Tulsa man accused in the brutal beating of a Racine man. David Godwin is charged with the severe beating of Jason Stansill earlier this year. Jury selection in the case has been set to begin on September 25th. Godwin is facing three felony charges for assault and use of a deadly weapon. As well as burglary. Two other men Roger Samuel and Nicholas Samuel are also facing charges in the incident. All three men have plead not guilty to the charges. Police say they broke into Stansill`s home and severely beat him with hammers and brass knuckles. Godwin`s trial will be held in McDonald county on a change of venue from Newton county.
