Earl Carr Dies

A local community is mourning the loss of a former mayor.65-year old Earl Carr of Joplin passed away on Saturday. Carr died following a short illness. A longtime active leader in city affairs, Carr served on the Joplin city council from 1986 to 2000. He served as Joplin`s mayor from 1997 to 2000. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 at Thornhill Dillion Mortuary chapel in Joplin. Reported By: Jim Jackson
