Grass Fire

A grass fire burns several acres of land,putting area homes in danger. The fire was reported this afternoon at the Loma Linda Country Club in Joplin. Officers say sixy-acres of land were burned before they were able to get the blaze under control. Several nearby homes were in danger of the fire due to the windy conditions. Officials from the Galena Fire Department and the Missouri Department of Conservation assisted in the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. Reported By: Robin Rogers
