Zora Update

Updated: January 7, 2009
A construction project finishes one phase and begins another. You may notice some changes on your way to work later this week. The change is going to take place friday morning at 9 am. Workers will be finishing with the asphalt and pavement portion of phase one this week. Which allows the area of zora from Rangeline to Florida to re-open. That section of the road has been closed since July of this year. On Friday Florida to St. Louis will be closed for through traffic until next fall to begin the next phase of the project. City officials say that Zora is the north most route from Rangeline to Main street. It`s a highly traveled road that officers say had needed repairs for quite some time. A completion zora will have three lanes. One for traffic in each direction and a turning lane. Previous to this construction project traffic on zora was about nine thousand cars a day. Officials expect to see that number increase. Reported By: Jennifer Grannon
