Multiple Convience Store Robberies

Authorities investigate two armed robberies for a possible connection. The first robbery happened Wednesday morning at four am in Joplin. Police say a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun robbed the Snak-Atak at 20th and Main. The suspect is an African-American male. He`s described as six-foot to six-foot-one inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue Dallas Cowboys jacket. Police say the suspect escaped with an undetermined amount of money. The second robbery was reported Wednesday morning at nine. Officers say in that incident a suspect walked into the fastrip at 1-71 and north Main Street and robbed the store. He is described as an African-American male between five-foot-seven and five-foot-eight inces tall, weighing between 160 and 175 pounds. Deputies say he was last seen wearing a white jump suit with a dark blue stocking cap. Deputies say the suspect used a silver handgun during the robbery. Police say no one was injured in either robbery. Investigators say they are looking into the possiblity both incidents are related. Reported By: Stuart Price
