JOPLIN BANK ROBBERY

The Joplin Police Department was notified Friday afternoon of a robbery at Great Southern Bank on Rangeline Road in Joplin. According to police reports, a lone suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the bank teller. No weapon was displayed or mentioned. Police say the suspect exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was seen leaving in a mid size dark colored car. The suspect is described as a 40-year-old male, five-foot-eight inches tall, stocky build, wearing a red Kansas City Chief`s ball cap and dark colored hooded jacket. No one was injured during the robbery. If you have any information regarding this crime, call the Joplin Police Department at 417-623-3131.
